Wipeable all-in-one PCs for canteens and laboratories based on IP54 standard

Ease of cleaning in line with the hygiene standards is a very important criterion when making IT investments, particularly in places where there are a lot of people moving around and operating the same machine. This applies for example to classrooms, laboratories and also canteens.

As they provide lots of potential areas for pathogens to be transmitted, particular attention needs to be paid to touchscreen devices.

This is why the Mini-PC manufacturer Shuttle has developed all its all-in-one machines to comply with the IP54 standard. This protection class permits damp cleaning of the particularly heavily used front with a built-in touchscreen. Many of the XPC all-in-ones from Shuttle also feature a completely flat front panel made of glass and plastic on which it is very difficult for dirt to accumulate.

This means that regular everyday cleaning no longer presents any difficulties. Alternatively, it is possible to operate the integrated touchscreen wearing disposable gloves. This is ideal when serving and charging for food, for example.

What is more, as the all-in-one PCs from Shuttle do not contain any fans, they are completely silent and low-maintenance.
